Qualifications:
BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science
MSc Human and Applied Physiology

Member of:
The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS)

The Aerospace Physiology Society (AsPS)

Kris has studied in detail the effects of human physiology in extreme environments with the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy, experiencing high altitude hypoxia, severe spatial disorientation, high G-forces and extreme temperatures.

Kris spent several years teaching human and applied physiology to medical students in London, being responsible for developing experiments to assist in students' understanding of physiology in extreme environments, most notably the response of the human body to hypoxia at high altitude.

As a Specialist Clinical Physiologist in a London hospital, Kris is currently conducting clinical research into select groups of patients and their safety onboard passenger aircraft using simulated altitude hypoxia.  He also lectures in respiratory and aviation physiology to students at Middlesex University.

Prior to his medical research and teaching Kris worked as a personal trainer for several years with Olympic field-hockey players and world-class martial arts fighters.

Kris routinely give lectures to GPs and hospital doctors on the effects of flight on groups of patients with various conditions, and advises on the suitability of their individual patients to undertake air travel. Please contact The Altitude Centre if you are interested in booking Kris for lectures.
