Richard
gained his first experience of simulated altitude training
in New Zealand where he rowed for the Auckland Redbacks. Since
then he has travelled around the world meeting and discussing
altitude training techniques with advocates of each of the
various disciplines, SHTL (sleep high, train low), SLTH (sleep
low, train high), SHTHTL (sleep high, train high, train low)
and IHT (Intermittent Hypoxic Training).
Richard regularly attends High Altitude
symposiums around the world and completed his formal training
on IHT in Melbourne, Australia.
Richard looks at the needs of the individual
and devises an appropriate altitude training strategy that
fits with their lifestyle and training goals.
