Many athletes (including national level athletes) train at too high an intensity. The result is excessive fatigue and little incremental improvement in fitness.

A course of hypoxic training can improve your fitness and recovery and move you out of this vicious circle. After hypoxic training, at the same given intensity your body will be working less hard. Working in the right training zones will improve your fitness and provide you with that vital recovery buffer.
