2015 Research Overview

2015 produced some great academic research into hypoxia.

This year, we found out that altitude training may help suppress the hunger hormone ghrelin; that live-low, train-high is a useful training protocol for boxers (more on boxers later!) and that ventilatory training masks – that often pose as “altitude masks” – can actually be detrimental to athletic performance.

2016 is going to be an exciting year for The Altitude Centre and research, as we are in the study-development stage of two research projects with our research partner London South Bank University. We’ll let you know more when the study designs are confirmed, and let you know how you can get involved.
