This consultation is designed to give you a detailed insight into your cardio-metabolic health.
During the Health Assessment one of our sport science team will take you through a series of health screens to form an all around understanding of your current health, to help you build a plan going forward. We will start by checking blood pressure, lung function and carbon dioxide tolerance, which form the backbone of your general health, before analysing your body composition to allow us to track improvements in lean and fat mass over time, as well as assessing all important visceral fat levels. We will then take small blood samples to test for your blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels, which are two of the most important blood markers for cardio-metabolic health. Resting metabolic rate is the rate at which your body burns calories to stay alive, and is the greatest overall contributor to your caloric expenditure on a daily basis. We assess this using the VO2master so that we can set accurate calorie targets to help you achieve your body composition goals. Finally, we will assess cardiovascular fitness via a sub-maximal exercise test (bike or treadmill as you prefer).
You will receive a full report and follow up call with our sport scientists to discuss your results further and develop an individualised plan to help you achieve your health goals.
