Arthur Muir: The third oldest Everest Summiteer

There has been a lot of news coming out of Everest this season. Some of it positive, some of it negative, but if you are looking for a feel good, inspiring story, Arthur Muir delivers!

Having taken up mountaineering at the age of 68, he completed the summit of Everest at the second attempt, after injuring an ankle on the mountain back in 2019 forced him to abort the summit push. The 2020 season was then cancelled due to COVID, meaning Art had to wait two years to give it a second shot – successfully reaching the summit, and achieving a lifetime goal at the age of 75 years old.
