Research shows that hypoxic exercise can be an effective way in the treatment of type 2 diabetes by acutely and moderately controlling glucose. Many of our clients here at the altitude centre use hypoxic exercise for weight loss, and with weight loss additionally aiding the treatment of type 2 diabetes, this agrees with this research that altitude training will help individuals with diabetes.
In addition this study has shown that both continuous and intermittent exercise in these hypoxic conditions, leads to an improvement. This is a breakthrough in research into intermittent exercise.
