New Research: Participants required!

The Altitude Centre will be studying the effect of a widely available nutritional supplement on blood oxygenation at a range of simulated altitudes, and we’re looking for participants to take part in the study!

What’s involved?

As a participant, you’ll be required to undertake some hypoxic testing (see our Mountaineering Consultation here for specifics) on three separate visit dates.

You’ll complete the testing three times on each visit, after ingesting either the control solution, supplement A or supplement B, to see how each impacts your performance and blood oxygen saturation throughout the testing.

What’s in it for you?

We are offering all participants five sessions in the altitude chamber to use after successful completion of the study, and you’ll also complete our Mountaineering Consultation as part of the study, which will help you to understand how you physiologically respond to the high altitude environment.

If you’re training for an event, health and fitness, or an altitude expedition (among others), it’s a great way to kickstart your training!

How do I take part?

To take part, you’ll need to contact James Barber directly ([email protected]), or using the contact form below.

James will contact you with a participant information form, and you’ll need to confirm the dates you are available for participation, as well as completing our pre-screening health questionnaire if you haven’t trained with us before.

Any questions, just fire away!
